Drinking in Japan

Payday is on the 15th of every month, and the money hits our bank accounts at 12:01am. Naturally, a lot of teachers go out to celebrate with a whole lot of beer. Tonight I stayed home. It was a beautiful night, so I decided to sleep with my window open and my a/c off. Unfortunately, I fell asleep reading and was woken up by drunken idiots who decided to throw stuff at my windows. I believe they were trying to get someone else’s attention, but guessed at the wrong window. About an hour later I was again woken up by another loud drunk English teacher who was walking from the station singing English football songs as loud as he could.

I believe I will be continuing to sleep with my window closed and my a/c on from now on.
